Seal hook
A seal tool seal hook is a special tool used to remove and sometimes install seals without damaging the seal or surrounding components.
Use of the Sealtool Sealhook:
This type of tool is often used in the automotive and machine industry, where seals are commonly found in engines, hydraulic systems, gears, etc. The shape and operation of the sealhook makes it possible to reach difficult places and easily remove the seal.

SEALHOOK
Advantages of a Sealtool Seal hook:
- Safety for components: With a seal hook, you can remove seals without damaging the surrounding components, unlike screwdrivers, for example, which can cause scratches.
- Efficiency: Using a seal hook speeds up the removal process and prevents seals from getting stuck or requiring excessive force.
A seal hook is an indispensable tool for the safe and efficient removal of seals, especially in environments where precision and care are essential.
- Ensure that you select the correct size and shape of seal hook to match the seal you are removing.
- Clean the area around the seal of dirt, grease, or other contaminants to ensure good visibility and access.
- Secure the workpiece (e.g., an engine block or bearing) so that it does not move during seal removal.
- Preparation of the tool and workpiece:
Placing the seal hook:
- The hook-shaped tip of the seal hook is designed to hook behind the edge of the seal. Carefully insert the tip of the seal hook between the edge of the seal and the surface to which the seal is attached (e.g., a shaft, valve cover, or gear housing). Slowly slide the hook in until it is securely behind the seal.
Removing the seal:
- Use the seal hook as a lever by moving the handle toward you or away from you, depending on the situation. Be sure to use enough force to pry the seal loose, but do so carefully to avoid damaging surrounding components, such as the shaft or bearing. In many cases, the seal will come loose after a few movements, after which you can easily remove it.
Check for damage:
- After removing the seal, check the surface where the seal was located for damage. Any scratches or damage could cause leakage when installing a new seal.
Installing a new seal:
- Seal hooks are sometimes also used to install new seals. In this case, make sure that the seal is positioned correctly and straight to prevent leakage.
Tips for using a Sealtool Sealhook:
- Use the right size: Always choose a sealhook that matches the size of the seal. A hook that is too large or too small can lead to inefficient work or damage.
- Do not use excessive force: Try to pry the seal loose evenly. This prevents damage to the part being repaired.
- Keep the hook sharp: A blunt hook can be less effective, so keep the hook in good condition by checking it regularly and sharpening it if necessary.
Pick sets
A pick set consists of several picks (usually 4 to 6 pieces) with different shapes and points, such as straight, right-angled, curved, and 90-degree hooks. Pick sets are widely used in, among other things:

- Mechanical work: such as removing O-rings, gaskets, and clips.
- Electronics: useful for loosening small parts or connectors.
- Lock picking: specific pick sets are designed for opening locks by manipulating internal pins.
The variety of shapes in a pick set allows you to work accurately and precisely in hard-to-reach places.
